Mik "Dr. Robotmik" Minier

Founder and Director

Mik is a game developer, scientist, and street dancer.

In 2015, he completed his doctorate in inorganic chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he studied diiron chemistry. Beyond biomimetic chemistry, Mik is interested in Main Group chemistry and low-coordinate complexes.

After graduate school, Mik sought out a second specialty in game development. He believes that there's a whole world of unexplored game mechanics that can be inspired from science. Being a gamer all his life, Mik hopes to fuse these two worlds together and provide casual educational experiences to people.

Outside of his technical pursuits, Mik is a street dancer specializing a lesser known style called animation dance. Since 2022, Mik has been exploring how the uncanny movement skills of animation dance can translate to mimicking video game character movement to a high degree of accuracy in real life. These non-playable character or "NPC" skits have gained incredible amounts of attention. Mik has produced a multitude of NPC skits with millions of views on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram and his work has been featured on 9GAG.
